French failures

I enjoyed "Heroic failures" (Flight International, 17-30 December 2002). There were many French innovations you could have mentioned too, among them the SO602S Espadon, a combined rocket and jet, the Breguet TAON 1100 interceptor and the Dassault VTOL project Bazar 001 which led to the Mirage III V01 VTOL.
