Denver-based Frontier Airlines is seeking approval for flights to Canada. If granted, it will be the first US low-cost carrier north of the border. It already serves Mexico. Calgary may be its first transborder destination, but it is also studying several other Canadian cities. Flights could start as early as May, but later in the year is more likely.
