NASA's Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer (FUSE) satellite has been returned to full operations after the loss of two of its four reaction-wheel guidance systems last December. FUSE, which was launched in June 1999, was returned toservice using an innovative new guidance system based on the use of electromagnets in the satellite to push and pull on the Earth's magnetic field.
