General Electric has completed qualification flight tests of its F110-129 engine on a US Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-15E at Edwards AFB, California, after 44h and 19 sorties. The programme was used to assess engine/aircraft handling, including tests at high Mach numbers and altitudes and manoeuvre transient testing during, which the engines were operated at high angle-of-attack and high side slip without any problems.
