Paris-based GECI Technologies has clinched a contract to help design the complete fuselage and cockpit of Fairchild Dornier's regional 728JET.

One hundred and twenty of these advanced 70-seaters have already been ordered by Lufthansa, with 90- and 50-seat versions scheduled to enter service in 2003 and 2004 respectively.

"We have built a large team of aircraft experts, consultants and management to realise the 728JET fuselage project and the proof that they have done a high quality job is the satisfaction of our customer," says GECI founder Serge Bitboul.

GECI has built a strong global network of partners since its inception in 1980 and has been involved in the reconfiguration of the South Korean basic trainer KT-1.

The engineering consultancy provides technical and scientific expertise to the aerospace and transport industries and operates in over 20 countries world-wide.

GECI can be found in Hall 5/F1, or on the Internet at www.geci.net.
