General Electric has completed flight tests of the GE90-115B for the Boeing 777-300ER using its Mojave, California-based 747 flying testbed. The engine, mounted on the No 2 left inboard position, completed 48 flights and 217 flight hours over 152 days. Tests focused on performance, air start capability and system durability. The 115,000lb-thrust (508kN) engine is due to enter service with Air France in early 2004.
