German air traffic controllers are planning to strike for 6h on 9 August after last week's call for a walkout was abandoned at the last minute due to a labour court ruling.
The ATC union GDF plans to strike between 06:00 and 12:00 local time.
When air navigation service provider Deutsche Flugsicherung tried to obtain a temporary injunction last week, the labour court in Frankfurt ruled in its favour and said that industrial action would violate a six-month peace agreement between both parties.
However, DFS withdrew its call for an injunction and did not pursue any further legal action when the union stopped its strike plans.
GDF emphasised that the walkout is not about gaining a 6.5% pay increase for air traffic controllers but to direct attention to the remuneration of all DFS employees.
The union further said that it did not want to achieve better working conditions but to make sure that existing agreements are maintained.
DFS said last week that controllers had demanded a salary increase of 6.5%, while it had offered a stepped rise of 5.2% until October 2013.
