Over the past few weeks a lot has been made of the proposed BA/American Airlines alliance. I believe it should be given the go-ahead.
Airlines such as Delta, Continental and Northwest complain that there would be no competition.
These airlines forget that Delta/ Air France dominate their respective hubs as do Northwest/KLM and Continental. Would they be willing to give up slots at their hubs?
