GULFSTREAM HAS introduced an operating-cost guarantee programme for its GIV-SP business jet, which will cover all scheduled and unscheduled airframe, engine and avionics maintenance for an hourly usage fee.
The Gulfstream ServiceCare guaranteed direct-operating-cost guarantee programme is described by the manufacturer as "...the most comprehensive of its kind in business aviation-the first nose-to-tail airframe, engine and avionics guarantee programme ever offered in the marketplace".
Gulfstream says that the programme offers customers a predictable operation cost and enhanced resale value, as the guarantee is transferable. Parts and labour are covered by the ServiceCare programme, provided that the work is performed at Gulfstream, or at an authorised service centre.
In a related move, Gulfstream has increased the price of a green GIV-SP by 2.9%, to $24.6 million, for orders placed after 1 July. The company says that the rise reflects "product improvements, increased warranty coverage and a slight degree of inflation".
