Gulfstream is considering basing a dedicated product-support aircraft at its London Luton service centre to offer European operators the same aircraft-on-ground service provided by a G100 based in Savannah, Georgia. “While 80% of the fleet is in the USA, as we sell more aircraft in Europe then we would consider basing an aircraft here,” says Larry Flynn, president product support.
The company is confident of receiving full maintenance approvals for its current product range at its European service facility by early next year, and hints at further non-US expansion.
The facility has been recertificated by US and European authorities to carry out maintenance, repair and overhaul on all “legacy” Gulfstreams such as the GIV and GV.
