Northrop Grumman will use the Gulfstream V business jet as the platform in its bid for the UK Airborne Stand-off Radar requirement. Supported by the US Government, Northrop Grumman is pushing a business-jet derivative of its Joint Surveillance and Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) for the UK. The UK had previously eliminated the Boeing E-8-based JSTARS from the contest.
