China's Hainan Airlines is to repay some of its debts with sale-and-leaseback deals on 10 Fairchild Dornier 328JET regional aircraft. Official Chinese press reports say the Haikou-based carrier will sell the aircraft for 1.2 billion yuan ($145 million) to Hainan Airlines Leasing, which will take on 1.1 billion yuan of the carrier's debt. Hainan Airlines operates 12 328JETs with seven on order, plus 20 options. It also operates 737s.
