NICE Market

Lufthansa Technik (LHT) is supplying its network-integrated cabin equipment (NICE) and in-flight entertainment system on the Bombardier Challenger 300 super mid-size business jet, marking the business jet platform for the ethernet-based system. LHT says NICE, which will be offered as standard on the Challenger 300, will also integrate the Apple iPod docked in a tailored unit in the aircraft that streams the audio output onto the system's network. The audio signal can then be heard at a specific seat or over the cabin speaker system. The iPod can be controlled at the seat through the NICE graphical user interface. Playlists can be chosen and created or songs can be played, stopped, paused, as if the iPod were in your hand, says LHT.
