Lessor Milestone Aviation has ordered a total of 30 Sikorsky helicopters, which includes 23 of the airframer’s flagship 12t S-92s and seven of the smaller S-76Ds.
The deal includes options to buy an additional 14 S-92s and 10 of the 5t S-76Ds.
“The S-92 and S-76D are both great helicopters and workhorses of the offshore oil and gas industry,” says Richard Santulli, chairman of Milestone. “We believe there will be tremendous demand for these machines from operators all over the world.”
Deliveries will start later this year and will run until 2017, says Sikorsky.
Milestone has leased more than 79 helicopters to operators.
