Honeywell Business and Commuter Aviation Systems has modified its Primus II digital radio systems to meet the Eurocontrol-mandated requirement for an 8.33kHz bandwidth.

The ever-increasing number of aircraft flying in Europe prompted the new ICAO/ Eurocontrol regulation requiring all aircraft flying above flight level 195 to use 8.33kHz bandwidth, increasing the number of channels available to aircraft operators.

The new 8.33kHz option, as well as the upgrade kits for all existing Primus II radios, will be available in May this year.
