Dr Cheong Choong Kong, managing director and chief executive of Singapore Airlines, has been elected chairman of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) board of governors. Nader Dahabi, president and chief executive of Royal Jordanian Airlines, is elected president of the 53rd IATA Annual General Meeting, to be held in Amman, Jordan, on 3-4 November, 1997.
