Among the more colourful aircraft on show this week are the Northrop F-5s of the Swiss air force's Patrouille de Suisse aerobatic display team. Here as part of the service's celebration of 100 years of aviation in Switzerland, six of the jets will be taking part in the daily flying display at ILA, which is also this year marking a centenary of shows in Germany. In addition to the team's demonstrating its famed precision close formation flying, the Swiss air force is also planning to show two of its Boeing F/A-18C fighters as part of the Berlin experience.
