US lessor International Lease Finance (ILFC) has ordered 63 additional Boeing aircraft, including 52 more Boeing 787s.

ILFC has placed a new order for 50 Boeing 787s and exercised two existing options on the type. This takes its firm orders for the type to 74, making it Boeing’s largest customer for the 787.

The new batch of 787s means ILFC will take regular delivery of the aircraft between early 2010 and the spring of 2017.

At the Paris Air Show today the lessor also disclosed that it had ordered ten more Boeing 737s, extending deliveries of the type to the company through until 2012.

ILFC has also converted a single option on a 777-300ER for delivery in early 2009.
