Former US Airways chief executive David Siegel, 42, has been named as chairman of the board and chief executive of global inflight catering giant Gate Gourmet Group. He takes over from the retiring Henning Boysen.
Martin George has been appointed to the new position of commercial director for British Airways, where the role will incorporate all of BA's global sales and marketing activities. Robert Boyle, general manager fleet and network planning, has been promoted to the role of director of commercial planning, while Andrew Crawley has been named as its new general manager revenue management, replacing Ray Lyons.
Gina Marie Lindsay, who led the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport through a decade of growth amid local controversy and became a key figure in the nationwide airport community, will leave the job in August and move to Washington. Her plans after that are not yet announced. Deputy managing director Mark Reis is the new airport director.
The George Washington University has appointed Mark Gerchick as director of its Airline Management Graduate Certificate Program at the School of Business.
