India is seeking to buy IAI Phalcon airborne early warning systems from Israel, talks on which continued during last month's visit to New Delhi by Amos Yaron, director general of the Israeli defence ministry. He says no progress was made on Ofeq-5 surveillance satellites or full Arrow systems.

China, which also had a Phalcon contract cancelled following US pressure, is also unhappy about India acquiring the system.
