A 24-strong delegation of companies led by McDonnell Douglas (MDC) has completed a tour of Indian aerospace concerns as part of an effort to identify potential component-suppliers for the US Company's aircraft programmes. MDC is competing for major aircraft orders from Air India and the new Tata-Singapore Airlines joint venture. The delegation includes AlliedSignal, Honeywell and Pratt & Whitney.

Westland Aerospace and Israel Aircraft Industries followed up a visit to India by MDC chief executive Harry Stonecipher in January.
