Mooney Airplane has announced that it will make AmSafe aviation inflatable restraints available for its entire product line as kits priced from $6,900 for two seats and $10,800 for four seats. Installation will take about one week, according to the company. Mooney offers the airbags as standard equipment on new Mooney Acclaims, Ovation 2GXs and Ovation 3s. The Kerrville, Texas-based aircraft maker has also hired former Gulfstream Aerospace veteran Floyd Washburn as its new vice-president of programmes and new business. Washburn, a licensed pilot and Mooney aircraft owner, spent 19 years at Gulfstream, most recently as programme director for multi-mission aircraft.
