Airbus has named flooring specialist Schneller (B7C40) as the exclusive supplier of the Canvas Catalogue decorative laminates for its Airbus A350 XWB cabin interior.
Schneller has been working with the manufacturer and its tier one suppliers over the last couple of years on meeting the requirements for the A350. "There were important requirements in terms of width," explains Schneller technical services manager Jason Rathbun, noting a wider material is required to meet the A350s 60in cabin. "We are working with Airbus to release the catalogue," he says, adding: "We are supplying materials for the test aircraft and starting to look at what the launch customers want to use."
The A350 selection comes shortly after Schneller was also selected by Bombardier for its CSeries programme.
