Dutch snack baker Boboli wants its signature pizze, focacce and calzoni to take off at this year's show.
The company supplied airlines with its Tuscan breads in the past, but this was done as a subcontractor to larger catering groups. Sales director Geert Houbraken now wants to bid to the carriers directly and get a bite of huge inflight catering market.
The Tuscan bread bakers have about 50 recipes for fillings and invent around 10 new variants every year.
Main customers are retail outlets, hotels and restaurants - some as far flung as Canada and Japan. When chilled, the pastries stay fresh for up to 18 days. But this can be extended to a year when frozen.
