Honeywell Aerospace, Inmarsat and Kymeta are teaming up to develop a compact Ka-band antenna to support the GX Aviation service.
The new product is claimed to be lighter and faster than competing in-flight connectivity antennas. It will ultimately be integrated into Honeywell’s JetWave product line, which exclusively supports Inmarsat’s forthcoming Ka-band-supported GX Aviation service.
“This will be the first truly flat-panel antenna for aviation that will offer great performance at the right price,” says Inmarsat Aviation president Leo Mondale.
