Mobile trials begin

Air France is to trial joint venture OnAir's in-flight mobile phone service on an Airbus A318 for six months from July. For the first three months passengers will be able to use their phones for sending text messages and e-mails, followed by both voice and data messages for the second three-month period. As part of its three-month trial, passengers on some Qantas Airways domestic flights are now able to send and receive e-mails and text messages.

Croatia on joint platform

Star regional member Croatia Airlines is to replace its current IT system with the global group's common IT platform. United and Lufthansa already use it.
