India's Jet Airways has added its code to subsidiary Jetlite's domestic network and integrated their reservation systems.
"JetLite flights were only available in conjunction with Jet Airways operated flights as code share flights. These flights were sold as individual flights, or in conjunction with another Jet Airways flights as a connecting product. Customers can now take full advantage of the global distribution presence of Jet Airways," says the carrier.
The code-share and integration will give passengers greater flexibility in choosing flight timings and allow them to access a wider network of almost 400 flights a day, it adds. Members of its Jet Privilege frequent flier programme will also be able to accrue miles on JetLite flights when they fly on them using the Jet Airways code.
Jetlite is the former Air Sahara, a full-service Indian carrier that Jet acquired in 2007 and transformed into a low-cost domestic operation.
