Jet Airways has signed a five-year agreement with Honeywell for the maintenance of the auxiliary power units (APU) on its 10 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
The deal covers the GTCP331-500 model of APUs, and is an extension of Jet's existing APU maintenance programmes with Honeywell for its 737NG and Airbus A330 aircraft.
“Our APU maintenance program coupled with Predictive Trend Monitoring Diagnostic service provides Jet Airways the tools to simplify budget planning and mitigate unexpected costs that may arise due to unscheduled removals, as well as speed up turnaround for its 777 fleet,” says Arijit Ghosh, president of Honeywell Aerospace India.
Flightglobal's Fleets Analyzer lists Jet as operating a fleet of 64 aircraft, including four 777-300ERs. The airline also has six of the type on lease to Etihad Airways.
