The aviation community was saddened by news of the death of aviation journalist Doug Birch, who died on Saturday on his way to Asian Aerospace.
A former pilot and respected colleague, he had covered aviation for many years and written for a host of publications, including Flight International.
He was travelling to Singapore to cover Asian Aerospace for MRO Management, of which he was the editor, but collapsed upon arrival at Changi.
He leaves a wife and daughter.
