Lockheed Martin and Boeing have submitted their competing Joint Strike Fighter proposals. The programme office will select one to begin the next engineering and manufacturing development phase. Meanwhile, the two companies are still in the midst of a flight demonstration, the results of which will be back fed into the proposals up until mid-August. A final decision is due in September.
