Daan Meyer, most recently director of operational affairs at Transavia Airlines, has been appointed executive vice-president of KLM Engineering and Maintenance, succeeding Peter Hartman, who moves to KLM's board on 5 August. Meyer has previously worked for KLM Engineering and Maintenance as vice-president marketing and sales, director of aircraft maintenance and acting executive vice-president of engineering and maintenance. Until Meyer takes up his new post Cees Koster, vice-president for maintenance unit CF6 will serve as interim executive. Dig Istha becomes corporate-communications officer and a member of the KLM executive management team from 1 August. He is now managing director of Netherlands consultancy Berenschot Communicatie.
