Lockheed Martin is completing test and integration of a new LANTIRN advanced deployment kit (ADK), scheduled for delivery to the Air National Guard next month. Lockheed Martin Information Systems has a $7.5 million USAF Air Combat Command contract to provide two additional lightweight maintenance sets in May and June for the LANTIRN all-weather targeting and navigation pods. Lockheed Martin will also compete to upgrade 25 additional LANTIRN test stations, valued at around $50 million. The downsized test equipment, developed by the USAF and the company, uses less than one-third of the shipping volume of today's LANTIRN maintenance equipment and allows repairs to be performed rapidly. A prototype has been used on five deployments, including to Turkey for Operation Northern Watch.
