LATAM Airlines Group has closed financing on the first Airbus A320s under commercial debt facilities arranged by a syndicate of banks.
The first aircraft, an A320 (MSN 5654) delivered to TAM Linhas Aereas on 3 July, was funded by German bank NordLB, which confirms the deal.
Another A320 delivery (MSN 5683), delivered to LAN Airlines, and funding was arranged by Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
The Australian bank is joint lead arranger along with BNP Paribas, Development Bank of Japan and NordLB with each bank funding two deliveries.
BNP Paribas and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia are as structuring agents in the transactions.
The French bank is expected to fund an A320 (MSN 5707) later this month, while its second aircraft is expected to be delivered in December.
