A new airborne electronic countermeasures pod that may be in production for the South Korean air forcehas been unveiled by local manufacturer LG nnotek.

The pod, designated ALQ-X, is evolved from the ALQ-88AK ECM pod that is already in South Korean air force operational service aboard its Lockheed Martin F-16s and McDonnell Douglas F-4s.

LG Innotek says the ALQ-X pod operates in the E to J bands, has 360º azimuth coverage and incorporates a digital radio frequency memory kernel to provide adaptive jamming.
