Malaysia's first Eurocopter EC725 helicopter made a high-profile debut appearance at the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace exhibition.

The Royal Malaysian Air Force's first two examples performed a pass over the crowd during the opening ceremony for the 26-30 March show, with one of the aircraft then taking its place on the static display line.
Malaysia received its first two EC725s in December 2012, with a further 10 examples scheduled to be delivered by January 2014.
The EC725 has yet to attain initial operational capability with the air force, but will eventually serve in a range of roles, including utility and combat search and rescue.
