Lufthansa has closed Japanese Operating Lease with Call Option (JOLCO) for five Airbus A320neos and one A350, an airline source confirms.
SMBC acted as sole lender on two A230neos with Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing (SMFL) providing the equity tranche. Fellow Japanese lender MUFG provided the debt for a further two A320neos, with Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance (MUL) acting as equity.
SMBC and MUFG both jointly lent on the remaining A320 and the A350. MUL provided the equity on these transactions.
The deals all closed in April.
