Lufthansa has tentatively selected Boston and Delhi as the initial routes on which to deploy its Airbus A350-900s.
The airline had previously indicated that it would receive the aircraft towards the end of 2016, although its latest schedule says the aircraft will be stationed at Munich from January 2017.
Lufthansa is taking 10 A350s for its secondary hub.
It has detailed the configuration for the A350s, which will have a 293-seat layout in three classes.
The aircraft will be fitted with 48 business-class seats plus 21 in premium-economy and 224 in economy.
Star Alliance member Lufthansa says the “likely” initial destinations are the US city of Boston and the Indian capital Delhi.
