Lufthansa has placed a new order for seven more Airbus A340-600s, which will bring its fleet of the type to 17 aircraft. The A340s will be delivered in 2006 and 2007. The carrier is also adding to its international network. It will begin a new three-times weekly A340-300 service from Frankfurt to Port Harcourt in Nigeria from April. The route will be an extensive of Lufthansa's existing service to Abuja.
