Lufthansa Cargo is to sell its 25% holding in DHL International cargo airline to the German national mail company Deutsche Post World Net. The deal is worth €550 million ($540 million), plus a deferment of €60 million under a debtors' warrant agreement, and has been submitted to competition authorities. Lufthansa chief executive Jürgen Weber says that the disposal does not represent a change in strategy and that future business expansion will be achieved through partnerships rather than stake holdings.
