Raytheon has placed its first Premier I in Malaysia - a sign that market conditions are picking up in South-East Asia. Hawker Pacific's Singapore office says it sold the aircraft to a Malaysian businessman and it was delivered to Subang airport in Kuala Lumpur earlier this month. Business jet manufacturers say there is increasing interest from potential customers in Malaysia, which was a large market before the Asian economic crisis of the past decade. Indonesia is another market that was much bigger several years ago and there is hope of a rebound there too following the inauguration of a new president last week.
