Leasing specialist Magellan Air has placed four ATR 42s with three new operators: two with Danish Air Transport, and one each with French regional airlines Airlinair and Air Atlantique. Magellan has also extended the leases on one ATR42 with Islandsflug of Iceland, one ATR 42 with ACES Colombia and two ATR 72s with Dutch carrier Schreiner Airways. Miami-based AeroTurbine has purchased two ex-TWA two Boeing 727-200s in a deal arranged by Focus Aviation. Flight International's sister on-line service Air Transport Intelligence reports that Luxair is to sell its two Embraer ERJ-145EPs, with one aircraft expected to be purchased by West African carrier Ecuato Guineana de Aviacion. The Luxembourg carrier is standardising on the longer range ERJ-145LU model, six of which are operated. Cairo-based Petroleum Air Services has ordered two Bombardier Dash 8 Q300s in a deal valued at $30 million, and taken options on five more. Deliveries of the firm orders will begin in May, with the optioned aircraft all due to be handed over by July 2004. Rio-Sul has taken delivery of the first of five new Boeing 737-700s on lease from Boullioun Aviation Services. ATR has received an order for four ATR 42-500s for delivery next year from an undisclosed customer.
