-British World Airlines is planning to double its British Aerospace ATP fleet, and has signed a memorandum of understanding for two white-tail aircraft for delivery in mid-1998.

-Sun-Air of Scandinavia has also placed an MoU with BAe Asset Management Turboprops for a third BAe ATP.

-C-S Aviation Services has delivered an Airbus A300B4 freighter on lease to new Turkish cargo airline MNG Cargo Airlines. The US lessor has also placed two A300B4 passenger aircraft with Turkish charter airline Air Alfa.

-CIT Group has concluded a five-year sale and leaseback deal with Varig for a Boeing 737-300.

-Olympic Airways has taken delivery of four Boeing 737-400s on four-year leases from International Lease Finance (ILFC), and another from Morgan Stanley in a similar deal arranged by ILFC. All were former Pan Am aircraft.

-Color Air of Norway has leased two Boeing 737-300s for five years. The ex-TACA aircraft will be managed by Air Foyle as part of its startup deal with Color Air.

-THY Turkish Airlines has subleased two Boeing 727-200Advs from Top Air, also of Turkey.

-Irish low-cost operator Ryanair has purchased a 737-200 from GECAS, for which Nordam will supply hushkits. The aircraft will be delivered in August.

-WDL Aviation of Cologne, Germany, has bought a BAe 146-100 from BAe Asset Management Jets.

-Uzbekistan Airways has received its third new Pratt & Whitney PW4000-powered Airbus A310. The aircraft will operate new routes to France and the Far East.

-Braathens of Norway has sold two 737-500s, formerly leased to China's Xiamen Airlines, to Indigo Aviation.

-Debonair is planning to wet-lease a Fokker 50 from Denim Air for three months, after failing to secure a deal to acquire five former Thai International BAe 146-300s.

-Montenegro Airlines has purchased a second Fokker F28, from TransAsian Air of Australia, and is discussing eventual replacements with Airbus and Boeing.
