Atlas Air has signed an aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) lease contract with China Southern Airlines for a Boeing 747 freighter which will begin later in the first quarter. Flight International's sister on-line news service Air Transport Intelligence reports that Krasnoyarsk Airlines' (Kras Air) plans to acquire up to 10 Tupolev Tu-204s has collapsed after one of its core financiers pulled out. The two firmly ordered aircraft were due to be delivered in March. Nagasaki Airways has ordered a Bombardier Dash 8 Q200 for delivery early next year. Dragon Air has concluded a lease deal with ILFC for a single International Aero Engines V2500-powered Airbus A321, for delivery in May. Ansett Australia is expected to add two additional Boeing 747-400s to its fleet of two, which will be used on services between Australia and USA early next year. The aircraft are likely to be leased from Singapore Airlines. Air Caledonie International will take delivery of an ex-Swissair, P&W PW4000-powered, A310-300 in March on three-year lease from Airbus. Turkmenistan Airlines has ordered one Rolls-Royce RB211-powered Boeing 757-200, for delivery in January 2001, boosting its 757 fleet to four aircraft. AirTran Airways has sold 14 aircraft to Miami-based AeroTurbine and Houston-based Jetlease, and will continue to operate seven Stage 3 McDonnell Douglas DC-9-30s sold to Jetlease through lease finance deal. Regionair has concluded a deal with ILFC for two P&W JT9D-powered Airbus A310-300s, which will be delivered in April on three year leases. Biman Bangladesh has added an MDC DC-10-30ER on three lease from Pegasus Aviation. Air France has firmed up its order for 15 CFM International CFM56-powered Airbus A318s, for delivery from 2003. GE Capital Services has ordered 15 CFM56-powered A320 family aircraft - ten A319s, four A320s and one A321 - for delivery from 2001.
