++ Icelandair has signed an agreement with eight financial institutions for the provision of $100 million loan, arranged by HSBC Investment Bank Asia and Landesbank Kiel, to finance two Boeing 757-200s due for delivery in January 1998, and April 1999. ++ The Florida based Aviation Management Support has acquired ten YS-11-500A Freighters from Airborne Express, along with a YS-11 parts inventory and nine spare Rolls-Royce Dart engines. ++ The two Fokker 50s leased by Air Zimbabwe have been returned to Debis Air Finance, for onward lease to VLM Airlines of Belgium. Air Zimbabwe has added a BAe 146-100 on long term lease from Air Botswana. ++ Brit Air has reached agreement with Bombardier for two additional Canadair Regional Jet Series 100s, plus two conditional orders. The two firm orders will be delivered in October 1997 and January 1998. ++ Air Atlanta Icelandic has acquired a 1982-built Lockheed L-1011 TriStar 100 from Trans World Airlines, which will be deployed on standby duty at Manchester for Britannia. ++ Air Atlanta has been contracted to operate the Brunei Royal Family's Boeing 747SP, which is mainly being operated between Brunei and the US West Coast. ++ Royal Jordanian has purchased its five Lockheed L-1011 TriStar 500s off lease from Banque Indosuez. ++ SAS Commuter has ordered two additional Saab 2000s for delivery in early 1998, bringing the airline's total order to six. ++ VASP has acquired an ex-Sudan Airways, General Electric CF6-80C2-powered, Airbus A310-300 on lease from Air Invest VII in a deal arranged by Fortis Aviation. The A310 will be delivered in September and will initially be wet-leased to Ecuatoriana (which VASP controls). VASP is understood to be seeking a second A310. ++ The Olbia, Italy- based airline Aviosarda has acquired an ex-Mahalo Air AI(R) ATR 42-300 on lease from the manufacturer.
