ENTERTAINMENT VISION

Vision Systems (stand C714) is at the show offering for the first time complete in-flight entertainment system installations. The French company has launched VisiConnect as a complement to its VisiVip audio and video on-demand distribution and cabin management control system. Vision Systems has partnered Satcom 1 to provide a satellite communications capability. The two companies have developed and integrated a single hardware box known as the VisiBox, which can retrieve data from various satellite connections, including Inmarsat and Iridium.

ROUTE TO SUCCESS

Avjet Routing (stand C225) says it is celebrating a year of strong growth at MEBA this week. The Sharjah-based provider of flight support services has managed new contracts this year joining its AV-Global Network. Avjet Routing chief executive Sam Wanli says private jet ownership in the Gulf region has increased despite the general recession, while demand for cost-effective trip support services in the region has grown even faster. "Our understanding of the recent uncontrollable economic factors, combined with the strategic steps we took to accommodate the situation, has enabled us to provide cost-effective flight support services," says Wanli.
