Bell/Agusta Aerospace Company (BAAC) is showing the first AB139 helicopter equipped for emergency medical service here at Le Bourget.
The aircraft, operated by Italian company Airgreen, will be used for EMS applications during the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin.
BAAC says that the internal dimensions of the unobstructed AB139 cabin make it an ideal choice for primary and secondary EMS applications. Litter layout ranges from two to four in medevac configuration. If cabin access to the large baggage compartment is utilised, litter capacity can be increased to six.
