Safran Group division Messier-Bugatti-Dowty is to acquire the 50% share in French joint-venture maintenance company Hydrep currently owned by Sabena Technics.
The two sides had each had a 50% stake in Dinard-based Hydrep, which specialises in servicing landing-gear, braking systems and hydraulics.
Hydrep handles assemblies from a range of regional aircraft types, among them Embraer ERJs, Bombardier CRJs, ATR turboprops and the Fokker 70 and 100.
Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
But Messier-Bugatti-Dowty says the deal will make Hydrep, which employs 100 personnel, a wholly-owned subsidiary when it takes effect in September this year. It adds that the agreement "consolidates" its position in the regional maintenance market.
Sabena Technics chief Rodolphe Marchais says that the new ownership structure "will enable Hydrep to expand further".
