Mexico is looking to acquire up to 14 surplus Kaman SH-2G Super Sea Sprite naval helicopters and three Lockheed Martin P-3B maritime patrol aircraft from the US Department of Defense. The Mexican Government is understood to have requested price and availability data for the aircraft. The sale, if concluded, would represent a significant enhancement of Mexico's maritime surveillance capability, particularly in its efforts to counter drug shipments.
