C-26

Fairchild's Metro twin-turboprop regional aircraft is in service with the US Air National Guard, which operates 13 C-26As (Metro IIIs) and 37 C-26Bs (Metro 23s) in a variety of roles. Ten aircraft have been modified to carry an underfuselage surveillance pod.

C101 Aviojet

A C101CC light-attack version of the Aviojet trainer has been delivered to Jordan and assembled under licence by Enaer in Chile (as the A-36 Halcon). The C101CC has an uprated 20kN AlliedSignal TFE731-5 turbofan. Weapons include underfuselage 30mm cannon pods, underwing rockets and gun pods, bombs and missiles. Jordan's 16 C101CCs have radar-warning receivers and chaff/flare dispensers. No orders have been announced for the C101DD training and attack version.

C212 Aviocar

The standard production version of the Aviocar twin-turboprop utility transport is the Series 300, which has an increased maximum take-off weight of 8,000kg for the C212M military variant, greater range and payload and structural modifications, including a redesigned nose and wingtips. The C212M can carry two 500 litre fuel tanks on underwing hardpoints. Special-mission Aviocars offered include a maritime-patrol model, the Patrullero, with nose-mounted APS-128 search radar.

C235

The C235 twin-turboprop transport was developed by Airtech, a joint company formed by CASA and IPTN. It first flew in 1983 and entered service in 1988.

C295

THE C295 turboprop utility transport is under development. First delivery is due in 2000.
