The first converted Fokker 50 freighter (MSN20118) modified by Aircraft Conversions has completed an extensive series of ground tests and test flights at Denver’s Centennial airport. The aircraft made its first flight in a fully representative configuration with an “E Class” cargo interior and forward large cargo door on 22 June and certification is due by August. With a forward cargo door measuring 2.34 x 1.75m, the freighter offers around 60m3 (2,100ft3) of cabin volume. The programme is managed by Amsterdam-based Aircraft Conversions, with modifications carried out at Centennial in Colorado.
